The Site Superintendent leads all on-site construction activities and ensures that each project is built safely, efficiently, and to King Built's high standards of craftsmanship. This role is responsible for scheduling, subcontractor coordination, field leadership, quality control, and jobsite communication, serving as the point-of-contact in the field and representing the company's values on every project.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day jobsite operations from groundbreaking through completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and inspections
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plans, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Host regular on-site progress and coordination meetings
  • Communicate clearly with the Project Manager and ownership regarding progress, delays, and budget impacts
  • Ensure work meets King Built's standards of design, durability, and finish
  • Verify work against drawings, specifications, and code requirements
  • Identify issues early and coordinate solutions to avoid rework
  • Maintain clean, orderly, safe, and professional job sites
  • Maintain and update construction schedules
  • Sequence subcontractors and material deliveries to avoid delays
  • Forecast labor and material needs and communicate proactively
  • Track production goals and progress milestones
  • Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Conduct safety meetings and maintain required safety documentation
  • Ensure permits, inspections, and regulatory documentation are current and posted
  • Maintain daily logs, photos, RFIs, inspection records, and change documentation
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager on cost, schedule, change orders, and job status
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, consultants, and municipal inspectors
  • Lead by example with integrity, accountability, and a standard of excellence
  • Mentor field staff and developing carpenters/superintendents
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and problem-solving on-site


Qualifications

  • 5 or more years as a Superintendent or Field Manager in residential and/or commercial construction
  • Full understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, and field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Buildertrend, Procore, or similar)
  • Strong communication, coordination, organization, and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license; reliable ability to travel between job sites


Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employee.
  • Pay: $70,000 to $95,000+ annually, depending on experience
